The Renaissance is the most well known art period in history, in particular the workings of Italian people. During this time, people created the image of the "Renaissance Man", which was a man talented in all fields of study including the arts, sciences, and theology. One of the two places it was centered was in Italy and the men here created some of the most famous and remembered works in history. I think every person on Earth know this work, "The Mona Lisa" by Leonardo Da Vinci. To this day, people are still unsure exactly who this person that Da Vinci painted is. Another majorly famous work, "The Last Supper" by Leonardo Da Vinci. This painting uses the popular triangle focus of this time period and shows a scene of Christ's last supper. Judas, who later betrays Christ is present on the left side of the table. This work is "The Sistine Madonna" by Raphael. Using the curtains as his triangle, he creates this image of people being humbled by her presence. Raphael, after doing work in Italy, traveled north to the Holy Roman Empire and France and by displaying his works, started another style of Renaissance art. This work is by Jacopo Tintoretto and is titled "Miracle of the Slave." Tintoretto is considered to be the last great artist of the Italian Renaissance. This is the famous "The Creation of Man" by Michelangelo. Laboring for many a day on his scaffolding in the Sistine Chapel, he created one of the most beautiful buildings known to man.
